Is it normal for me to just fall through the ground?

Just bought the game and started playing it. Got to the first level (emerald coast) and I keep falling through the ground. There is a spot where you run down a hill after the first checkpoint and also after a loop. I was able to get past that point. Next spot this was happening was on the wobbly looking bridge. I run across it and it seems like at random points I just fall through and die. Is this normal? Do I need to find some patch? I got a game over on the first ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level lol.

I realize that title is idiotic, apologies. I was honestly still flabbergasted by what was happening lol.

Normal for this game, yes. It's a buggy mess, which you probably discovered if you continued playing it. You can jump long distances if you spin dash and jump; try that to get over the problem area. Also, never roll into a ball during a loop. You'll likely stop dead and fall.

Thanks for responding! I'll try the spin dash + jump to get across that bridge. I've failed several times to get past that point so far. Seems almost random how far it will let me go across it. Also, thanks for the tip about the loops. Did the original Dreamcast version have these same issues?

not quite sure but going off of the second game most likly not the game has gotten buggyer over time but the pc version is the worst by far

Out of literally over 1000 times I've gone over that bridge I must have passed through it only twice... There's definitely something wrong with your game. Then again I don't use the Steam port. Get the BetterSADX mod which fixes the issue before the double loop, and probably your bridge problem as well.
