Maybe I'm alone in this but...I'm not sure I like how this mod makes the game look? It's unbelievably impressive, for sure, but maybe Sonic Adventure's environments just look more at home with baked-in lighting.

It's a neat novelty, and I will definitely play around with it once it's finished. And I gotta give props, it's actual ray tracing and not just some reshade filter pretending to be ray tracing.

But for my general play I agree, I prefer the way the game looked back in 98. I'll probably do a run of the story mode with the RTX mod once, then turn it off and just leave it on my machine as a cute conversation starter.

RTX isn't a magic "make it look good" button, it's a tool. It's natural that sometimes it doesn't give better results than the baked in lighting.
