Trying to Use SASave to Edit my Save Files; Not Working

Hey, guys. I don't know if the community on Steam is very knowledgeable of modding or external programs relating to SA, but I figured this should be the first place I should check.

Here's the deal:
So I'm playing SADX and I've gotten to Big's Story. Right now I'm at the Twinkle Park stage, but I'm unable to catch Froggy. Turns out that I actually needed to find the lure upgrade in order to more easily catch him. The problem is that I cannot exit the Twinkle Park lobby in order to go back and get the lure. It is also nigh-impossible to catch Froggy without the lure (I'm aware that it technically is, and I've tried at least a dozen times to no avail).

So I downloaded this program called SASave by MainMemory that's supposed to allow me to edit my SA save files in order to edit my save with Big; either put him at a point before the lobby, unlocking the lure or setting the game to where Big's story isn't unlocked yet. However, no matter what I do, I can't seem to save the edits I made to slot 1. I tried saving it in different slots and everything, but that hasn't worked either.

Are there any tutorials out there or is there someone in the community who I could reach to help me out? I've tried looking elsewhere but I couldn't find it. Thanks!

So, I was able to get it to work. I didn't know which file was the right one (EIther the SonicAdventures01 or the one with Chaos Garden or something like that) so after editing I saved it to both and it worked. You have probably found help by now but figured I would comment anyway. I'm not sure if it was helpful though
