Start Button not working on title screen

I'm having this weird issue where I can't press the start button on the title screen, I can still skip the cgi intro, but can't advance beyond the title screen.
Anyone have any fixes?

You can skip the intro with the button or key that's mapped to A, so maybe you don't have a button set to Start?

If you install the SADX Mod Installer you get the input mod which maps all your controller buttons to what they should be.

According to the config, my start button is mapped to F (I'm using keyboard, because I can't find a compatible controller.)

Just install the Mod Installer. It'll not only fix this problem because it converts the game to the 2004 port, but it also supports virtually every controller and is the only way to get widescreen and a complete Chao mode and a million other things that should've been in this version.
