-the game
-HxD [or other hexadecimal editor]
-SA-Tools
-a 3d modelism tool [blender is free and has a lot to offer]
-a brain
how to?
1) open the game exe file in your hexadecimal editor.
2) use the search tool and type in the following value: 00 00 00 07
3) if you find the following sequence:
00 00 00 07 XX XX XX XX 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
you found a model, or a part of it.
4) in SA-MDL, open the game exe file and, when asking which offset to look at, type in the offset where you found the previous sequence of hexadecimal values. [will also request texture file]
5) Export to .obj and have fun with your newly ripped model.
6) repeat step 2 for every single models
this is how to do it, as simple and fast possible.
When you extract the models via SplitDLL, use SAMDL to save them as a format which programs like Blender can use.
