Cart Pass Issue
The cart pass won't appear for Knuckles. I have finished his storyline. I would like to get the emblem for that sub game, but can't access it without the cart pass. Help?

I think you have to complete more than just his story for it to appear. Also pretty sure you could just play it from Trial mode instead.

No, it wouldn't show up in trial. I tried it. Just like the original version, you have to unlock in game to be able to do trial.

From what I've found, the pass appears in the triangle-shaped grass near Speed Highway's entrance, after you've cleared either Tails, Knuckles or Gamma's story.
(i.e. the same place Sonic found the Employee's ID)

It's a black card with "Twinkle Circuit PASS" on it.

The problem that is doesn't appear. I know it is suppose to appear in front of the hotel. But it doesn't appear

Pretty sure that you have to complete the entire main story in order to get the pass to appear for characters who don't unlock Twinkle Park through their story (Tails, Knuckles, and E-102). Assuming that's the case, that means you'll have to finish EVERYONE's story before you can go racing with the full playable cast.

And I mean everyone's story.

That includes Big's story.

Haaaave fun with that.


P.S. iirc, the card doesn't appear in front of the hotel. It appears in the patch of grass to the left of Sonic and Tails' Speed Highway entrance (near the exit that leads to the area where Sonic fought Chaos 0, to be more specific). It's in the same place for all three characters. So if it's there, ignore what I said above. If not, then brace yourself for the most widely-hated part of the game.

I know it's five years later but I just got confused by this as well, so just to be clear here, it's in THIS patch of grass:
