How do you do the Crazy Dash exactly?

I can't seem to do it. Can someone please tell me which buttons it is to perform it in exact order please? Preferable if you said it in the Xbox/Logitech controller buttons layout. Thanks.

Gear up (Shift "Drive") + accelerate quickly (more times)

On the keyboard:

Press S, then press and hold E right after letting go of S. Use E, don't use UP. E works better than UP in this game.

I feel like this was easier to do on the actual dreamcast as well, the timing seems a little weird on the PC version and it didn't seem to register for me all the time

shift down then up then a fraction of a second after acelerate then start to chain dash drift d+r together.
