Shipwreck Module Kit Upgrade Bug
First of all, i don't know if this has been reported yet so sorry in advance if it has been. I just literally ran into this bug like 10 minutes ago so yeah. Second off this bug was found on my xbox one version of genesis alpha one. I can't play this game on my current laptop as it would literally explode the ageing computer into non-existance (being that its nearly 20 years old lol)

Anyways the issue i found was located in the hangar area of a shipwreck that i have located. when i scanned the ship i detected 2 module upgrade kits in the hangar area and boarded her. when on board i checked the ship design map and the map confirms there is 2 module active (both camera icons are light up) so i went to the hangar to retrieve them and found the first one dead easy but the second is in an area that i physically can't get at. its located on the lower section of the hangar area, just besides the left hand side ramp leading down to the lower area. I can see the wall lit up with a green glow so i know the damned thing is indeed right there but its hidden behind a set of crates that are jammed up next to the wreck of the lander vehicle. As far as i'm aware there is no way to move these caution crates there which means the upgrade module kit is permanently stuck behind them with no way to get to it. Has anyone else experienced this bug issue.

Hey Mental Tribbles Gaming,

Sorry to hear you've had this issue.

Could you please send us some screenshots of the module showing the kit upgrade as well as you where the item is?

To take a screenshot, please make sure, that you have Steam Overlay enabled in your game
  1. Go to Steam -> Settings.
  2. Click the In-Game tab.
  3. Check "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game"
  4. Go to Library.
  5. Right-click on the game title and select Properties.
  6. Under the General tab also make sure "Enable Steam Overlay while in-game" is checked.
In the game, press F12 to take a screenshot. Then press Shift+Tab to bring up the Steam overlay, and Upload your screenshot, make it public. Then simply include the URL of your screenshot on the forum (it should look something like "http...sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=...")

Could you also please verify your game files:
  1. Right-click on the game in your Steam Library, choose Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and press Verify integrity of game files...
  2. Attempt to run the game to see if the issue is resolved
Get back to us when you can.

Regards,
Team17 Support.
Unfortunately i'm not able to do a screenshot for you. As i said in the first little bit of the comment, this was found on my "Xbox One" version of the game. I did not find this on a steam version cause i have not purchased it for steam. Sorry. All i can do is give you the description of where i found it. The module kit that bugged out is located a shipwrecked hangar (it had two active cameras in this module) the exact location is as follows (i'll try to be as detailed as i can here) ...

As you enter the hangar, imagine your stood directly behind the lander looking at it. go down the little left hand side ramp to the landing area for the lander. immediately look back at the ramp and to the left of the ramp there is two cargo containers in the little alcove, next to the lander. This is where i think the module kit is hidden (directly behind these boxes). The reason i think its hidden there is that when i go into the catwalks area underneath i can see a green glow there where the wall is located behind these boxes.

Again i'm sorry i can't provide you with a image to prove this but as i said i found this on my Xbox one game not a steam version. If i had a way of take a picture off my television without my camera phone blurring the hell out of it i would.

I just encountered this exact same issue just now, and I took a screenshot: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2541717155

Here's where I was on the ship when I took that shot:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2541720718

And here's a closeup view of my position in the hangar:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2541720827

I figured maybe I had to reboot my game, so I quit out and started it back up, and the module is no longer listed in the ship manifest, nor is the glowy spot there anymore. I still only have one module in my inventory from this ship (It listed 2, but I was unable to retrieve the one in the hangar)

Possible it was a phantom module? Either way it's annoying. :(
