Been a while since i didn't play again genesis but it's a fun game to play.
Don't know what you are working on but i hope that will be something as unique as this one :)
But on the Store Page it show : release 25. Feb 2020
thats when it came to steam it started on epic games store
i hope to see these ideas someday
Hope one of those ideas is mod support. A few UE4 games have full on ModKits with UE4 like ConanExiles, Squad, and ARK.
Trust me when I say this, modding + your game = financial boon long term.
I know ya'll are a small team, and building a modding framework is a task, but look at the long term, in 10 years people will still buy copies of this game for the modding alone.
Hell, even games without a full on mod suite are still modified and played to this day like Classic SW: Battlefront2, SWAT4, etc. But the easier it is for people to make new content, the more that can be done, the more creativity that spreads around.
With the right editing tools and using UE4, people can make new weapons, planet zones, new enemies, ship textures, etc. And in a game like this you'd 100% see some major overhauls ranging from Aliens IP to Star Trek with the right modding teams and creativity. That creativity, brings in more potential customers.
Just food for thought, I love the game, but it really needs mod support with UE4 like the three games I mentioned above.
If at all else,if you don't plan to do it for this game, when you return to the Genesis IP, and if you plan to make a new game down the line (Which by then will probably be with UE5 instead of UE4 since UE5 is expected to ship in 2022 *hopefully*.), see about modding support, especially if you can include it with the Unreal Tools like above mentioned. Modding is a big selling point, and the less restrictions the better.
