I hope the devs will add a setting in options to crank this limit up to 20 or so for more powerful systems.
The way to push past this is to choose a higher tier corporation. Which you can see the requirements to unlock each time you start a new game.
note: i did play the game on xbox one, but I don't think PC and Xbox games are any different.
I really like this game, but this is the the first thing that's really caught me by surprise and left me thinking, wtf? A bad design choice for sure.
And adding workers to my Reactors made absolutely no difference to the amount of output I was getting. I don't know if that is just a bug in my game or not, but there was no increase at all.
I would definitely like to see an option to crank the number of reactors up too or a hack or cheat to correct this nonsense.
I know, but my point is you can literally fill an entire floor and not use the other floors and still have enough ship to use 300 Energy. In fact it can even be done without using up a whole floor and still have space left.
I haven't seen that, but then again Im still playing the tutorial galaxy configuration.
That's good to know, thanks. Since starting new games since the tutorial Ive discovered the increased Reactor limit option and made it 7. Now I just have to play a game where I survive long enough to actually use that many lol. Those damn infestations have taken me by surprise twice now.
