Balance Issues
The game seemed like it's a lot of fun!

Me and my girlfriend played for close to an hour, but we only got passed the first boss once. It's not that the bosses are too hard, we both played a lot of Binding of Isaac so it's not that hard for us, but it takes so long to kill bosses that you're bound to make mistakes and just die. I don't know if boss health scales to player count or not, but it felt like the bosses just have too much health to be properly handled by two players (we were only two players and it felt like bosses had twice as much health as they should). That's the reason we stopped.

To sum up our thoughts:
1. Bosses have too much health early on. I don't really see a point in locking players to first stage and having them only see 1 item at best per run. There's no hook to it.
2. Some bosses have weird hitboxes - for example - the Wind Beast is a flying boss but the entire sprite covers the hitbox, which makes no sense and creates a disconnect from the perspective.
3. Found a fun item - enemies explode. The one issues is that it obviously deals damage to surrounding enemies (had a few fun chain explosions), but it doesn't indicate that it does. Enemies don't blink, there's no damage numbers, no nothing to indicate that.
4. Level ups say "All stats increased" but, i didn't notice any difference (apart from unlocking the "talents?", which seemed really cool), well maybe i dealt 12 damage instead of 11 more often

The game is actually unbalanced and it's way too easy to get through the whole game... It needs more difficulty increase not decrease. And for the Level Up system it's really brand new so cut it some slack.

It might be too easy later on, but early level boss health is deffinetely too much, at least for duo play. And leveling is fine, just the popup makes no sense.

The oversized hitbox on Wind Beast they did the right thing. I mean focusing on safe spots while aiming at the boss very precisely would make it too tedious. Especially when Wind Beast will appear as the First Boss most of the time as far as the game goes.

As for Living Bombs item. This is mostly the item (Along with Weasel pet, which prevents the player from sharing) I would recommend to avoid in 3 or 4 Players. It makes the game miserable in the rooms with spikes. Because not only the player can take damage when enemy explodes in close range, but it pushes the player at the opposite direction, leading to the spike, which takes the whole heart away. And once this item has been collected, you can't get rid of it.

That's probably about it for Level Up system. It just unlocks items at the start. I guess they figured out, that for skilled player it would make the game too easy.

About the balance issue. I think this is focused more on unexperienced players. In the 4 Player game, not once it was noticed that 1 or 2 of them are rather careless on their Health. Either they run too fast and once they enter the next room, they're stepping on the spikes and mostly die by that.

So, the skilled players with 1 heart left are on "little quest" searching room by room for the heart to drop (Or refill the healing ability depends on the class) so you can revive the team mates, which later on turns out that all your effort goes to waste, because the revived players with just half of heart mostly cannot survive at least 20 seconds. Which is the reason why I'm reviving the players when the boss is defeated during the fight.

I think the Pet Companions are the nice idea, but some of them makes the game a cakewalk. Perhaps the game needs to have a silent difficulty increasement depending on how many helpers player has collected or depending on how any of the team members didn't die so often.

(About the Stone Golem. For some reason this boss has a weird issue with thrown rocks. It's like the graphics for it and the hitbox itself are two separated objects. The rocks still hurts you, but the explosion comes out of nowhere. I'm not sure if it's a bug or that's intentional to make the boss harder, because it existed since earlier builds of the game and it's still there.)
