As I said, preferences. I never had issues with connection to characters myself but that's my own perspective. What's important here is that we can't expect japanese companies to force english dubs on their own games if they don't feel like it. Subs are still many times better than nothing.

Well - Not to take any side here, but my personal experience is that I feel less connection to a character that is making noises I cannot understand. I don't feel the emotion of tone things are said, so I loose the emotinal connection with the character. At the end that makes the game less appealing.

I do not say this as an English/American person, because English is not my native language (I am Dutch speaking). Even when English is not my native language, I at least can "connect" to the emotions and intentions of the character. For me Japanese/Chinese feels "off" in a way I cannot grasp the emotions or intentions behind what is outed.

Mind you - That no critic on the game itself or anything. It's only an explanation why people such as me have a difficult time to "connect" to a language that feels very alien, and thus to a game in that language. I know the game does not deserve it, but it's not anything I can do something about.

you read my thoughts

I like how people are complaining about how painful it is to listen to the characters speaking in Japanese yet anyone outside of the USA, and very few other countries feel exactly the same about USA's atrocious English anime dubs.

Indeed. If I gonna hear people saying glibberish I at least want to be the original glibberish.
That's why I watch Hollywood movies with subs.

This is a low budget, low effort, cash grab game. It didn't even get a physical release, which made a lot of people mad. That's probably why it doesn't have english dub, but maybe if fans make enough noise Bamco will cave in and release the dub.

Technically, it did get a physical PS4 release in JP. Also, the One Piece musou games remained JP voices only, so I see LWA being the same, but hey, you never know.

People who watch/play English dub anime/games are like those who order sushi without wasabi and use spoon to eat gyuudon.

Why don't just play LEGO Harry Potter instead of this game?

I feel you man, but I got the game anyways just because of my love for the series.
JP VAs are pretty good imo, but doesn't beat the English Dub.

Maybe they'll add the dub voice actors later at some point.

Not really. You know how to read, right? English sub. Bam, problem fixed. Japanese voice is the original language and it sounds beautiful. The chance we have to play those great games is also quite nice to have. They give you a bite, you ask for the whole thing. Too bad if you won't buy it.
Japanese voice acting to me means set the volume to 0, my opinion, I hope you understand.

Hey man, it's a foreign game. I played Metro and Stalker in Russian, you bet I'm playing LWA in Japanese. (ENG dub cast ain't that great anyway mate)

Our planet will change the orbit? Or I will not feel the taste? Should I die of hunger, having such food, but not having wasabi and chopsticks?

Lame, i liked the dub for LWA as well.
