game wont even start

Anytime I try to start this game it just refuses to start now. The small loading title pops up and then just stops there and the game never opens after that. I have tried to have the files checked and fixed, and I have reinstalled the game multiple times. Nothings seems to work. The game was playing just fine a few months ago now it just refuses to work.

What are your specs? Have you tried any of the troubleshoots from the pinned thread?

Ryzen 5 3600
16 gigs of ram

I have tried anything that would match it as well as completely removed all files pertaining to this game that I possibly could before reinstalling the game again. I played the game fine its only recently I am suddenly getting this issue

Windows 10. I have tried the game from my main NVMe, and secondary, my sata ssd and my HDD as well. None worked.

The game does not even seem to appear in my task manager, I literally just get a banner that doesn't do anything nor show up on my taskbar.

I take back the task manager it does appear it just uses nothing but a little bit of my memory so It was near the bottom

Are we talking about the green play button that all steam games have? There are various plugins that can literally prevent certain steam games from loading. I was playing Duke Nukem Forever without any issues, and while trying to launch a different game, i was notified that i was missing a required plugin installation. After this installation, Duke would no longer launch. I click the play button. It changed to a stop button, then reverted to the play button once again without launching the game. I looked for that plugin in add/remove programs, deleted it, then duke forever ran once again. Check for plugin programs that might have been installed around the time that Postal 4 stopped launching for you. I hope this information helps.

Try cleaning the ini files (no need to uninstall the game). You should find them in AppData>Local.

The game will regenrate them and hopefully fix the issue.

Did this before making this post originally. Sadly did not fix the issues

So sorry about this, I’d love to figure out what caused this. I’ll think on it for a bit and respond tomorrow with some potential fixes
