Probably after it's out of Early Access, but not before as managing two builds will slow us down at this point.

What's about counting current Windoze purchase as Linux one, if I would run the game under Protone?
I'm a savage supporter of GNU/Linux and don't want to give fake statistics to Windoze OS.
Yet I trust you'll ship native GNU/Linux later, and want to support you with my money right now, while it's early access.
Can you ensure that my purchase would count as GNU/Linux version, so I can satisfyingly kick that Windoze lazy-monkey? :lunar2019coolpig: :metalsign:

Buying the game without native Linux supoort counts as Linux sale.
Or so I've been told numerous times.

Thanks for the help, bud.
Different developers count sales differently, so I need direct developer's response, to ensure I can perform my kick with 100% success rate.

So... it runs under Protone?

I got all Postal games on Steam except Postal Redux and Postal 3 which sucks anyway. I will definitely get this one once you release the native Linux version. Thanks!

Some people report it doesn't work out of the box with any available Proton version. So we need to figure out how to make it working. :signix:

if you press start, a black screen will appear and that's it
bug report: https://steamcommunity.com/app/707030/discussions/2/2733047810446258035/

to the devs: on UE4 you can just click export to linux and with some work it will work, supraland dev did the same and he only runs 1 build and clicks on export to linux that's it

I mean, you can try if you won't make it as official support, but just throw it in some beta branch for junkies who are willing to play that way.

Gamedevs make money there, so it's a valid excuse. Especially when one of them wants to become a true hero, and use some of those money to make GNU/Linux PC Masterrace version of the game. :signix::critterbig:

Too bad as just wanted to buy that game. But I can totally understand your reasoning. I'll just wishlist it and hope steam will inform me as soon as it is out for Linux.

That's a good idea for feature request: add drop-down menu for wishlisting where you can specify the platform you want to play your game on.

Whishlist is smart, if you add game to wishlist on linux, it will be counted as linux version wish.

All of our other games have ended up on Linux even before it was cool ;) So yes, it's likely P4 will get a Linux client in the future.
