It is. It hasn't been particularly bad for me so far.

Yeah. I've had issues with RPG Maker on certain graphics cards (especially Pascal Nvidia, but also some AMD cards). Intel graphics seem to work the best. But then RPG Maker games also seem to need rather high single-threaded performance, especially as they get large. And they can also have issues with full screen if you don't have at least 768 height, which rules out my primary Intel graphics devices, my GPD 1 and 2 (only 720p). :/

Ironically, I find the best way to run RPG Maker games is in wine on macOS or Linux. Or in a VM. Either way you can abstract out a lot of the BS that would otherwise break things . . .

yeah it suckls becaue there are afew rp[g maker games that i realy wold get into, but the jjittery screen shaking and l;axck of vsync and just smoothness overall is so distracting

I've had similar issues sometimes with games made in GameMaker (ex. Undertale was made in GameMaker). GameMaker games tend to work pretty decently in wine, which can be used to bypass graphics issues that happen running the games in proper Windows.

Are you using a high-refresh rate monitor (> 60 Hz)? If so, that could be the issue.

nah just 60hz. 1080p

Kay. I can generally get rid of most of the issues other than the just poor fps/stuttering. But that just happens at random with larger RPG Maker games (like this game, LISA, and fanmade Pokemon Games like Pokemon Reborn and Pokemon Insurgence). The engine just has issues, and it gets worse the larger and more complex the rooms/levels you are in.

All I can say is try to stick to Windowed Mode and/or 1080p, no higher than 60 Hz, and minimize background tasks. RPG Maker does not utilize cores and threads well. Even a fast (3.0 GHz+) modern CPU will have some stuttering. Only Single-threaded CPU speed and faster storage (SSDs) really help. You might try prioritizing the process. For graphics issues, there's no good solution other than to move to VMs or wine. :/

Edit: I've started playing through the demo of this game in wine on my MacBook Pro. It does have some fps issues, but I've avoided the graphics issues that RPG Maker has on my Desktop with a 1080ti and the < 768 width issues RPG Maker has on my GPD devices. The one issue is that the game window doesn't have scaling options like some other RPG Maker games, so the window is either small or full screen. Hard to avoid that on a HiDPI display tho. Another RPG Maker issue: no native HiDPI support. :/

As for the game itself, I've enjoyed the first few minutes I've played, and after I beat the demo, I may pick up the full game if I enjoy it despite the RPG Maker issues.

Yeah, some computers seem to have antibodies against RPG Maker games. You can try out the demo here so you don't have to risk buying the game to test out your performance: https://rpgmaker.net/g/jimmy/

As a side note, the second level (Giant Garden) is probably the most resource-intensive level in the game, so if you're not experiencing frame rate issues there (or if they're minor to the point of bearable), then you can feel confident that the rest of the game will run smoothly.

oh resource heavy stuff is no issue, i have 16 GB of RAM and 3.4ghz CPU lol ^^V
what you first said makes sense thouhg, they are allerigic it seems to some nvidia cards.
i didnt know there was a dmeo, more than happy to check it out %^^

the onyl rpg engine that works well is the RPG Tkool engine , works great, offers flexibility and usually supposrts controllers np.
( also hitting f12 doesnt quit the game lol )
