scary?

is this game supposed to be horror or have scary parts? Or can i buy this without worrying?

I'd say its not scary but its unsettling

I think "unsettling" is a good way of putting it. There aren't any jump scares if that's the kind of thing you're worrying about, but, yeah, there are horror sections. Most of these are optional, but a few are mandatory. It's not the main thrust of the game, but it's a significant part of it.

I was wondering...did you get some inspirations from 'Lisa: The Painfuil RPG' for the unsettling part? I think it got quite a 'Joyful' vibe...AND I'M LOVING IT!

The game has no jumpscares (some things might catch you off guard, but there are no screamer type tactics used). The game puts more emphasis on being unsettling, and sometimes absolutely dread-inducing with some of the optional areas.

@drvanhauten: I actually haven't played Lisa or its sequel. I really should now. I started this game before Lisa released, but seeing some of Lisa's in-development screenshots was a motivator for me in that I thought, "Hey, an Earthbound-like art style with graphic imagery is something I can actually draw!"

I'm shocked you haven't played Lisa. I would have thought you would have played Painful given the tone of your game. Yes, please, definitely play Lisa the Painful. You'll appreciate the game immensely, if this game is any indication of your tastes.

^ I really don't think you can ask any more out of your Indie RPG. I love those games equally, and this one deserves as much praise as those.

LISA is one of those select few RPG Maker type games that's actually worth playing. I liked it enough to play it through on Pain Mode. And now I have another one to add to that special list.
