Infernal Missing PhysX Error Fix
If you've installed a game recently that uses the newer PhysX, like I just did, you
might notice that Infernal suddenly thinks that PhysX isn't installed. This is because nVidia in their
infinite wisdom didn't include the 2.5.2 files in the new version, which Infernal needs.

This is easy to fix, and works for any version of the game.

1. Download this:
Mirror 2: http://www.4shared.com/file/W2GE4qxh/v252.html

2. Copy the folder in the zip to C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Engine

Done! Infernal should now run without the error message

-- End Web Page Info --

Note: The files are clean from what I can tell. Scanned them with Malwarebytes and BitDefender 2010 -- no threats found. I used the files from the first link

Also, if you are running on Vista or newer, you will need to copy the folder to a different location, then copy & paste it into the Program Files folder, as this requires elevation (admin privs). You will not be able to directly extract them there.

This did in fact address the issue for me. I am now able to play Infernal, with Physx Version 9.10.0513 installed.

THX TO tnoyce ON THE STEAM FORUMS. IM JUST REPOSTING THIS ON THE GAME HUB FOR BETTER ACCESS.

Since both sites referenced in the previous comments aren't really working, the most probable solution is Nvidia's PhysX Legacy System Software[www.nvidia.com]

Install both. This will install whole package of PhysX libraries for every single game. Don't forget to restart the computer after PhysX update.

The file is in the folder

Right click on game -> Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
Then install PhysX_6.10.05_SystemSoftware.exe

You're clicking on the wrong button on 4shared.
Though there is a fake 4shated site out there but you can tell by the link address

Nobody should be messing with any 4shared, dropbox, or any other random file downloads. Just go to the official Nvidia site and download the official Physx legacy driver, here:

https://www.nvidia.com/object/physx-9.13.0604-legacy-driver.html

Install it and you're done. This is the only installation you should ever need for all legacy Physx games. Keep the downloaded file handy so you can re-install it in the future if necessary.

Tested on my Windows 7 x64 computer and works perfectly with Infernal.

To Fix:

1. Locate where you have the steam.exe installed to on your computer
2. Copy the path
3. Go to My Computer
4. Right Click Properties
5. Go to advanced (Or advanced system settings)
6 Enviromental Variables
7. Go to system variables- (Steps vary by OS, but you should be able to add the steam path from here. If you can get it added, ignore the rest of this list. Read what comes after the numbered list.)
8. Scroll to PATH
9. Click to edit
10. Go to the end of the paths
11.add a ;
12. Paste the path you copied before
13. Click OK

I had to install the Physx software directly from the Infernal game folder, you can actually ignore any 3rd party links, or the most up to date legacy version of physX, which didn't work for me. Install the version in the game folder, it's all there and works..

I also had to right click the game.exe file in the 'game' folder and set compatibility mode to Windows XP SP2.
