We named it "Infinity" because you can play the same bubble foam forever, unlike the other puzzles that have a specific end goal and the bubble pattern resets with each attempt.
Regarding the 20 move limit in a 3 hour period, we've answered this in other forum posts and you can also find this and other answers on the FAQ[pinestreetcodeworks.com]. The throttling of Infinity moves is designed to give value to the tickets so you'll spend them only when you really get stuck. I wanted a way for players to be able to earn hints with fun gameplay, not just buying them or having them be unlimited. It didn't seem like much of a challenge if they were unlimited.
If you think it could have been designed differently or with different timing, I'm open to your feedback.
I understand your reasoning behind the tokens and not wanting to just give them away. I must admit I was a bit reluctant to use the hints in case I ran out of tokens, especially early game. But in the end finished the game with around 100 unused tokens, though admit google also provided me with a few hints !!
As for true infinity. That's all I'm asking really. An infinity mode that goes forever (not just 20 moves), but doesn't give tokens. It's just nice to play 5-10 minutes, no goals except the satisfaction of matching stuff and not having to stop every 20 moves. So, I'm just after something like the current token mode, but no tokens and infinite moves.
Going back a fair few years now, one of the first games I got on Steam was 'Chuzzle Deluxe' (which actually has a fairly similar 'matching' concept). That has an infinity mode (I think actually called 'Zen') and I would just play that for 5/10/15 minutes. No rewards, just matching colours, making big explosions. I found it relaxing.
Yes, please. A Zen mode would be amazing!!!
The puzzles are fun, but the infinity level is super relaxing and is my favorite part of the game. I've actually bought two copies of the game so I could get more infinity time. I also enjoy the puzzles, but I like to solve those on my own. So, I currently have 1,941 tokens. If I get to 2,000 tokens, can I trade those in for a zen level? Just kidding, but a Zen level for completing the game would be a great addition.
The simple satisfaction of the Zen version would be so helpful after a stressful day at work! Thank you for considering this request.
