Thanks to each and every customer!
Now, give each and every customer (who bought the beef...the main part of the enchilada), the beans and sour cream. They bought the main part of the enchildada...I personally appreciate your appreciation, but in the marketplace, nothing says, "thank you" like actions which affect your pocketbook. You have a franchise that will actually never go out of style even when we have full immersion (indistinguishable from real reality) VR. (In about 8-10 years by Kurzweil projections). You'll still have a market, because it's just one form of art. So treat the early supporters better. The fools who think the numbers are too small so getting gouged is somehow honorable don't understand the franchise's worth in the long term. Give us the beans and sour cream!
Beamdog should at least give the people who bought it already the rest for $10, instead of $20. At $20, we end up paying the full $40 in two installments....I'd rather give it to Steam because it will be the same price (or a lot less without the music, which doesn't matter to me)...we'll see....either way, if you truly "support the community" then stop taking advantage of D&D dorks who don't understand the 'ways of the [real] world'. Yeah, I said it...called throwin' down the gaunlet....Wassupeth?
Just need to ask are online servers guna be up or is this single player only ?
Well... It is the 27th, about 19:30... Who´s idea was it, to make the game available at approx 20:00 in the evening? Hm?
I am waiting it for whole day, seriously, where is it ?
Q_Q
wheres is this game
This may sound kinda stupid but I updated my Beamdog version because my toolset was behind my steam version and the toolset is still at 1.74/ So when I DM client to my Server Client, my Mod is grey to me. :stunned:
I haven't reviewed it, yet. I went back in to see if you guys fixed the crossbow issue or the cut-scene issues. Neither was fixed. Camera was acting sketchy again. So I went into options and changed the resolution (I avoided this before because it automatically changed it to 800x600 60 Hz. It was at my OS's default 1400x900 (approx.)...so I manually changed to 800x600 60 Hz and it worked so much better. The cut-scenes are as I remember...the quality of the facial features is degraded (also for monsters, etc), but it's fuzzier, like I remember. The camera acting sketchy was also probably related to the resolution, too...because it was moving much more data relatively every time the camera was shifted....cont
...cont. So I played it for a while and it was running great. It really brought back memories. So I wanted to wait a few days (which is 1/3 right now) and see the general feeling in the comments section. Even now, on day 1, with the most enthusiastic supporters downloading...I hear about 14% of the people (among the enthusiastic crowd) saying that they felt cheated...that the "enhanced" is nothing more than making it run (somewhat poorly) on modern machines. If your leaders (CEO/and the two idiots who do the podcast) have half a brain between the 3 of them, they'll rethink their entire greed strategy...it will work for a couple more years...and then you can try the in-game purchase route...maybe it will work among this crowd. I predict another D&D authorized (same monster set....same rules (or different, but D&D official rules, etc) will run you out of business...and even your most die-hard will peel-off.
So I'm going to wait a few days before I give it a thumbs up or down. The truth is: If you don't have nostalgia, people are absolutely getting cheated for paying $32 (for all the mods, minus the music...which is what I did)...or $20 (for a newbie who is just checking it out)....the newbs feel cheated! And you know what? They are absolutely being cheated, paying $20 for a poorly ported 2003 game, much of which was improved upon with free labor, or pickbacked (the official releases) on the same free labor. And the community takes pride in their being exploited! The herd, I say!
No matter what your strategy. You need to stop taking f'ing titles...and frankly, you need to re-write (from main()...forward...every library...every video rendering....every pic (the still pics are great, but you need to get an artist that captures the style and add about, oh...I don't know 500 more...In today's world, that's what we expect...and classify them with options...like by race...by class....etc....in other words, enhanced. But seriously...go back to Baldur's Gate....give us timelines...learn from Baldur's Gate how to attack an executable to scrutinize every aspect....the engine is the tough part...to capture the same feel...(it's easier with Baldur's Gate than NWN)...but seriously...stop taking titles...now go through all the code, line-by-line (except black box ♥♥♥♥ that the original devs simply dropped...find people who know the difference)...Get the structure right early on...that's the key.
in other words, to wrap up: you got your money up front....now earn it.
