Unanimously considered? What utter nonsense you talk. You obviously do not understand what unanimous means. You need to buy a dictionary before you go making idiotic comments.
NWN1 is almost certainly one of the longest (if not the longest) community supported games ever in terms of player-made content, thanks to the in-depth toolset and mod support, so foolish comments such "the worst game ever made" makes you look very ignorant indeed.
Thousands? Good lord, you know BioWare actually has GOOD single-player RPGs like Mass Effect, or Dragon Age Origins, or Baldur's Gate that are way better than the pale imitation NWN, right?
I know there are a few MMO exceptions, but generally, MMOs feel like RPG lite to me. Something is added with friend, but something is missing in mechanics and world and story.
Anyway ...
Can't be THE longest, because Forgotten Realms Unlimited Adventures (1993) community is still alive as well, and even today occasionally new modules are released. But definitely one of the longest and most popular, agreed. :)
NWN started in 1991. Although the BioWare one is different and came later, the original WAS an online RPG on AOL. I still have old GamePros with the ads.

True, but that doesn't count towards the longevity of the community around Bioware's NWN.
Yeah, I guess if it stopped running in 98 it doesn't count...
Yep
I can't remember when exactly the first NWN vault was set up but I think it wasn't long after NWN1 came out. I remember it was a hive of activity even back then, along with Bioware's own NWN scripting forums.
