Weird audio issue with my friend.

At first my friends audio was working completely normal but after around 10 hours his audio has been completely bugged. He cannot hear npc voices or sounds behind him.
We have tried fixes we found online but nothing has been working. He has a top end pc so im sure it's not because of hardware.
He has tried checking the cache and even reinstalling the game but the bug persists.

We finally fixed the problem. He has windows 11 and he had to go to audio settings and switch spacial/surround sound settings from it. All good now!
