Stuck with the "make friends" mission

I can't figure out how to send my companion out for a walk. I can't get anything to display and I've tried a lot of touches with about ten hours of play, but this mission step is still unfinished...

Does anyone have a solution?

open the map, go to emotes section, add the companion commands to the emote wheel, use emote wheel by clicking c
at 10:40 comes the part with the emotes
