Using the forge to smelt refined uranium

I've made a massive ♥♥♥♥ up.
I built a furnace and filled it with uranium ore so I could make some explosive ammo.
The settings were low/med/high heat which I took to mean a faster cook/overheat time. It didnt. I was overwhelmed by both opfor and the furnace was destroyed. Ive lost ALL my uranium and I cannot repair anything because it says I must repair the command centre whatever/wherever that is.

Well... sorry to hear that. All I can say, don't put all eggs into one basket. Thanks for info though, even I'm still far from smelting uranium.

The command centre is the truck.

The command post could be repaired during assaults and after. Look for the little red box on the table in front of the truck. Point at it and you should see the option to repair the base. The whole base is restored in the blink of an eye without any cost of resources. All objects you have built will be restored.

I did find it in the end but I did lose 100 units of uranium

it was probably turned into refined Uranium and you should have been able to collect what it had made up until your furnace was destroyed. We lost a couple yesterday but resources that hadn't been refined went back into box and refined material is just sitting there for you to pick up

I put some Aluminium, some Tungsten and some Uranium in the furnace and you only get a very small number back and none of it is Uranium in my case.

Is there is a minimum number to furnace to get anything back?

I have no idea but I would suggest holding back on this resource fiasco until after the 'new year balance patch' so you're not wasting time time and effort.
