There's basically no point finding them though. Weapons found in this way are, as far as I know, always useless crap. They'll be the worst possible quality level.
I have never found a good gun this way. Always the good ones were in item boxes/those weapon/ammo storage sheds.
I guess I will have to make another sweep then. I am aware that those guns are usually not good. Usually I just pick them up and then drop then instantly, because weight limit, but it's not about the guns, it's about me being a completionist and about that '0/3 guns' driving me crazy.
If I would have found at least one, I guess I could just let it go, but since I've turned this place upside down and did not find at least one of them, I have the nagging feeling that I am missing something here, that maybe there is a bunker or something where I could find them.
Sigh, I've played this game for quite some time years ago, then abandoned it, because it was such a mess and because some massive bug kept me from finishing a story quest. Now I came back and they've actually improved the game /a lot/, but some things are still a mess in this game - and things like this are definitely amongst them in my point of view.
But again, thanks!
The second weapon is another hand gun in the hand of a single soldier after going up the short stairs after the two soldiers.
The last is a machine gun and is in the grass around the bottom of the stairs of the tower.
The last was frustrating me to no end as it was hard to spot.
Hope this helps.
This totally helped, thanks a lot!
The weapons were exactly were you said and the worst part is, they are actually quite easy to find /if you know where to look./ I actually don't even blame myself, because this weapon thing is so utterly stupid. I ran past them several times, the problem really is that at least the pistols have roughly the color of the ground they are lying on and this is not made better by the fact that this white 'interact with me' ring only pops up when you basically stand right beside them.
As I said, this whole weapon/collectible thing is beyond annoying. The guns and collectibles are often just thrown onto the ground randomly, you often find guns which for whatever reason do not count and what you get is low tier crap, so hours of searching do not even give you some real satisfaction.
I've played this game when it was released, stopped after 70 hours because of the bugs and glitches and the incredibly annoying inventory system, but now came back when I got 'Alpine Unrest' quite cheap on a sale. Yes, some things have changed for the better, but a lot of things, like the inventory system, have just changed in order to be just as annoying in a different way. The Fnix bases that are everywhere are not just breaking the timeline, they are a massive nuisance because you can't even really interact with them when you don't have the DLC.
And with the size and aggressiveness of the hordes/patrols being increased massively, with the flame throwers and radioactive ammunition, the combat is actually a lot less fun when playing solo. Most of the time I hide in a building and kill everything through a window, which was not the case in the old version.
Sorry for that rant, but this game could be so, /so/ great and yet, everything still feels lackluster and unbalanced and things like this collectible thing are a massive part of this. Anyway, if you made it this far, thanks a lot not only for your help, but also for your patience!
