Original Mats Mod?
Hello,

I wish some modder made a Mod for GZ what let us use the original materials for Augments, Crafting and Gear buffs. The one what was before the Final Update.
As Solo gamer I feel now impossible to get enough New Mats for Gold Augments as also I heavily forced to do Base Defense as Rivals drop pathetic amount.
Why Devs made this not requested big change is beyond my understanding.

Cheers

There is mod that indirectly solve the issue by allowing you spawn all crafting and building materials, including new ones deploying a radio. You can get only the amount to get you started or get the max of 1000 for some and 5000 for some materials.

Goggle Generation Zero Mods (over 40 mods) and visit the site.
There is a way to keep resources high but requires 2 accounts and 2 games purchased with both having the same DLCs to share everything.

i don't use mods myself but this is how I keep well stocked without building bases or crafting ammo every few hours. And I keep a very fat mule.

I use AP rounds in 7.62 and SMG 9MM. So I don't collect any FMJ rounds. I do use .50 cal AP rounds a lot so collect way more than I use. I also collect more than I need of the RPG rounds.

In the past, limited supplies kept us hunting and destroying machines, not stay at a base to craft and defend to do more crafting.

I feel that a huge cheat and I dont want free mats. I wanna work for it but with my way.
I just want back the old way where I was able to farm all mats by hunting robots and scavenging regions. Like Cloth was needed for my most used healing augment. Now it need Ethanol, 250 for Silver Augment that mean 25 Easy Base Defense as it only provide 10. The Rivals drop 2-6 if even drop any. I cant even think now on Gold Augments. :(

I dont know what I do with this info you provided. :P
My issue isnt the stocking but farming/getting the needed resources like Ethanol.

I dont used any mods yet, but as Devs absolutely screwed up this I would use such.
Just get the amount you really need to get you started and farm and do base defense for the other amounts. Once you established enough base to generate potassium, alloys and ethanol things will become a lot easier.

No, because I need to made Base Defense for get the mats.

I have 510+ hour gameplay and I have zillion other mats. The issue is Ethanol. I need 25 Easy base defense (250 Ethanol) to get Silver Augment and I would need 120 Base Defense for Gold (1200 Ethanol). And this is just one weapon augment.

While before the Update I was able to freeroam the zones hunting enemies scavenging, having fun meanwhile gathered the needed crafting resources. It was reasonable, now it is not. This is why I wish for a Mod what let me use old mats to Augment.

The rivals drop pathetic amount, 3 Ethanol average if I count that not all drop it.

A hack I learned somewhere along the way, I would save my game before doing something and if I liked the results I continue to play. If I screw up I can go back and load the game at the save point and play the same event again, and again, and again till I like the results and then continue.

Now, If you save your game before you drop what you have so another player can pick it up. You drop, exit and then load the game back where you saved it and you still have everything that you had before you dropped it. And the player that picked it all also has it. If the player that picks it up, returns what you shared, you have double what you shared. And if the player saved their files before sharing, they get everything back when they load the save files back.

I found this is a lot easier, more time consuming, to do it with each player using a pack mule to swap large amounts back and forth. Then the pack mule stocks up the locker and recycle stations. And doing the saves while sharing resources, when you are done sharing you continue the game back where you first saved it but with a lot more resources. If you can pick it up and drop it, then you can share it. this also doesn't edit the software so doesn't go against the EULA. But I can still play by my own rules. :happy_yeti:

Smart, but for this you need anoher player to help. I dont want to relied on other players. :P
Also to much playing with saves. This while a good trick is not what Im looking for.
I want to farm mats the way I like in the game. The way it was before Final Update.

Ok, it seems I can manage a Medium Base Defense what give 28 Ethanol.
Abit better value for my effort.
