Second Rocket Launch??!!

Finished the game and was down on the road way below the rocket control center on top of Rocket Mountain (or whatever it may be called). I hear this whoosing LOUD roar, nothing I'd ever heard before and looking around and up, spy the rocket coming out of the launch pad way above me. Wish I'd taken a screenshot but was too dumbfounded - watched it go up, tip over slowly and blow up, with two huge pieces plummeting down to the road behind me. Wow, thought Veronika, Tatiana, Klas and I had put an end to that evil SOB, but I guess they had an extra rocket. Didn't do them any good - suckers! - FENIX is dead (for now).

Anyone else seen this?

Everyone who completed all of the Launch Site Bravo missions had seen that finale shot. I hope also watched the after end-credit video?

Hmm. I’d already seen it once, from the control room when the finale happened. This is a second time, much later. Does it just keep happening?
And, yes, after the first time, watched the credit video. Wish there was a way to re-run that. Is there?

You can only rerun last parts if you had made a manual backup save of at least the last mission of Launch Site Bravo

Thanks, CrazyWolf. I do have one, so will take another look. What do you think about the 2nd launch viewing that I saw, from below? Have you seen that as well? The sound and visuals were great.

I don't know. I tried went to rocket silo but nothing happened.
Most likely what happened to OP is similar as the town at south Himfjäll, where the explosion event from quest happened again when go near the location after re-launch the game.

There is only one rocket launch during Fnix's escape which failed because his rocket exploded in full viewwith two debris falling afterwards. What is the other rocket launch are you referring at? Are you saying this section gets repeated in your case?

In the supposed final beta the actual rocket explosion was not shown, so there were appeal to redo it and show the actual explosion, which was incorporated in the actual Showdown update,

In the supposed final beta only this part shown and no video of the actual rocket explosion but there sound of explosion. But it was changed to show the actual rocket explosion, thanks to the appeal of many players, including our own SEA Sniper, who opened a thread here to change the finale scene.

@CrazyWolf: Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I FIRST saw the rocket tilt over and explode when Veronika, Klas, etc. and I were in the control room. That was the finale and glorious end of the game and led to the nice video of everyone having a victory picnic on top of the mountain, with the resistance team of Elsa, Benny, etc., from the wine cellar in the Bear Hotel, all there as well.

THEN, some days later, after I played some more in the game - several different times - after killing a Reaper back on the mainland and coming back to the island to look around where I hadn't before, I SAW THE ROCKET LAUNCH AND EXPLODE A SECOND TIME, from below, looking up at it. That's why my post is titled: "Second Rocket Launch??!!". Pretty cool, but mystifying.

Wow that is a nice glitch, and I think that is what @Velmoria was referring to.

Wait, there's more! Yesterday I spawned at Ornbo Security Office and went exploring down by the water and around the area. Ended up on the road by "The Black Gate" ( -6621, 1427.) and after taking out the 4 hapless Hunters guarding it, walked further up the road...suddenly heard the roar and saw a THIRD launch. This time I got pix!

Yep, it is exactly the bug that happened way back since Himfjäll DLC.
The game trying load the aftermath of an event from quest or something.

Thanks, Velmoria. Makes me want to go to Himfjall to see what that was. But I forgot the event...?
Anyway, this is sorta fun. I might put a field radio by the launch silo and see if I can go up there as soon as it starts, to watch from close by.

Also the one I mentioned the explosion at Himfjäll (Tarnboda skans), do not trigger again anymore (which the one that been jumpscared me few times during my stealth gameplay).
But the explosion event at Angsnas Manor still triggered.
