Missing Vulture

I have found my missing VULTURE in the Marshlands. Only missing for a week. I kept getting a ghost of my Vulture but no machine.

Nice, did you do anything specific like veryfing gamefiles or anything else or did it just suddenly appear again?

It just reappeared again it i to spawn on the south coast for a week i had the game telling me i had a rival. But nothing was there the ghost of the vulture was in the Marshlands

Ok it sounds like the same bug that sometimes also teleports your Reaper to the Marshlands Military base.

Is it a bug? It is a fun place to fight the reaper. It is not big enough for the vulture, but I have had to fight the reaper stuck in one of the trenches south east of the airbase

With the new spawning system were every Tyrant I've spawned sofar is in the same region as the fnix base I spawned it in.. I would say if it's teleporting to Marshlands is a bug.

I think it usually happens when closing the game with an active Tyrant and then when you reopen the game hours/days later something gets jumbled in the code and poof the Tyrant(s) has left their deignated spawning region.

I liked it better on the old system where region score/lvl was the determining factor if a region had a chance to spawn Tyrant(s) or not. I miss having The Reaper roaming his birth island of Himfjäll ;)

I have had a few spawn in the south coast, close game, restart and reaper in the arena. If it is a bug I hope it doesn't get fixed anytime soon. My first saved file of the reaper in the arena is dated 12/18/2021. I would have to load the file and look at the reaper's stats to see if it is a south coast spawn. I stopped @ 9 saves at different times, it was very common. I think it is the only place it happens and the conditions match what you and I both experienced.


Need to verify that this could be the same "bug" that causes to reaper to jump location after closing game.

I've had the Reaper appear at the Arena many times too. I wondered if it was related to the 'disappearing machines' bug. Haven't had it happen to a Vulture yet though - that's new.

Would be nice to fight the machines in new places again. It would give a bit more variety to things. As Znurrad said, with this 'new' system, you are usually stuck with only the 'control point' regions.

I have had Rivals spawn underground. They show up on the map, but no sign of them in the immediate proximity. Sometimes you can see them below ground using the OPV, but no way to reach them.

There are tunnels below some locations (including the Norrmyra Artillery Base), so it might be related to that. The Stora Dyrbo hatch is probably the most famous example.

i had to teach him a lesson about hiding ..

killed all his little buddies and then ..
making me have to come back for him
(playing pee pie)

i fast traveled away and came back ..

caught him propped behind a tree ..

To verify this is the same "BUG", spawn a vulture in the south coast, close and exit the game and restart. If the vulture then is in the marshlands, it verifies two things: It is a bug and that the reaper and vulture share some of the same coding.

Closed and restarted the game six times after spawning the Vulture. No apparent effect so far.

It's still rampaging across the South Coast region.

I'm going to let it roam for a day or two just to see if it does anything unexpected.

i'm gonna spawn him in the southern region ..

Update: I am stood at the spot where the Vulture shows on my map near the Knarrebo Generators and - nothing. No noises, no sign of presence at all using OPV either above or below ground.

Is this what the OP means by a 'ghost'??

I quit the game, and then restarted, and it has respawned back at its default location near Guteby Farm.

I'll try to observe from a distance, and update again if it does anything else unexpected...



Update 2: It's done it again - EXACTLY the same spot (-3685, 3286) - just a few meters NW of the Knarrebo Generators. Poof! Vanished, but still shows on the map.

This time, I have FT'd to a different region on the map and then returned, but it is still frozen on the map, but not present in the world.

Exiting and restarting the game puts it back at its default location just West of Guteby Farm.

So far, it's staying in the same region...

Graphics bugs and glitches sometimes are good, like this one which would have never happened without those issues.
