No facial animations, no cut scenes, no real interaction with other people. Makes it feel cold and lifeless. I keep hoping I would walk into a Russian Camp and find people walking around, doing things, and suddenly bots would attack, and I have to help defend the camp.
But every location is lifeless. And in today's gaming environment, that's a noticeable problem.
On the other hand, where the game shines, it shines pretty brightly. I've been impressed with the AI. I've seen bots try to flank me, run away when seriously damaged, and even use trees as cover. YES! Use trees as cover, and it happens way too often to be a coincidence.
So I do hope we eventually get a Part 2, but I would also hope the company adds more talent, to make the next game even better, and more full of life.
Heck, I would even be happy to see some deer, rabbits, foxes, etc... Even better if they sometimes scare you by surprising you. And they would make it more challenging when using IR to spot enemies. Not every moving bright spot would be an enemy.
Those who have played with friends will know what I'm talking about. The game feels more alive when seeing your friends moving around in the game world. When you are on your own, after having them in the game, it is noticeably lifeless.
