I'm a DAY 1 buyer/player, but i don't think i'll start a full new playthrough ever again, since all the alterations they've done in the recent years do not please me.
I am with you on the play through, but I may try one day.
I hope because the game is finally finished, the Dev team will spend 100% efforts to repair any big glitches so it is as complete as possible.
It gave me a chance to escape to a world that was no worse than my real world at a time when most of us could not leave our home, only to buy food. We could not go to parks to play, could not gather to socialize. Even though in the game I was alone, I was given hope that if I continue to find ways to destroy the machines, I would some how help the world be better.
What i really feel when i play the game: Some good memories of my own past - in 1989 i was 14. The game location is in sweden, but there are comparable places in Austria too (but only small lakes, no sea).
Even more past memories i get when i watch the first 10 minutes of the film "The Goonies" from 1985. I did similar things like the child-actors in the movie :-)
I know many of you love the game.
And I will probably still love the gameplay.
But, personally I feel screwed by the developers.
I bought a finished product !!!
I didn't buy a game in early access.
The game isn't what I bought, it changed.
I'll give it a try when the Devs leave this game alone.....
My recommendation is to never buy a game from these devs again, they make half baked games that are repetitive and get stale fast and they also straight up abandon their games before they're finished/good.
Abandoning would be if they dumped it with half the story and/or features missing, which does not appear to be the case.
Maybe you can join the 1000 Hours club soon.
