It is more reliable to click / select an Inventory item, then use W-S keys to move up and down in the list.
I've recycled a lot of wrong things since update, but, I'm also getting replacements, and have dupes on other characters in my world.
Tips:
• When selecting an item, click in the lower part of the rectangle. Clicking above the halfway point may sometimes select the item above.
• Make sure the quantity fly-out to the right of selected item, is appearing on the same LINE as the item you wish to select. Sometimes it's above, a clue you will not be recycling the desired item, click again.
• If you'd be devastated by accidentally recycling the wrong weapon (or item), drop all other weapons on the ground first. That's non-destructive, if the wrong thing gets dropped. Pick up the temporary backpack of item(s) after recycling.
I have no problems navigating the inventory using WASD, it when you need to adjust the quantity of items to either bring/stash or recycle that has become an issue with the new system. Before, you could adjust the 10s with W/S and 1s with A/D. Now you can ONLY use A/D to adjust quantity, and it bounces from doing 1s to 10s is a sudden and unprecise manner.
So to be more clear, my issue ISNT with navigating around the inventory with WASD, but the now poor and unprecise manner of adjusting quantity.
weapons that don't indicate what ammo they use. Having to guess is a real pain.
The sorting feature sometimes moving things if you add o subtract an item. And I don't mean like one space; it completely repositions the entire list.
The sheer masses of junk you find that you then have to compensate for by having a companion you can dump it all into, spending skill points so you have more space, not travelling too far from a storage box, or worst of all in a game **based on looting**... not loot things and pass over what is basically a huge part of the game, which is searching for hidden items, better gear and collecting resources. I've been forced more times than I care to name to just leave areas untouched because I was at my limit.
HOW is that removal helpful?
