New inventory management SUCKS
The look I can live with, but up/down no longer adjusting the 10s ? and left/right suddently switching from adjusting the 1s to adjusting the 10s is making me spent more time in inventory than I want to. Please bring back the old precise controls and drop those stupid dynamic controls...

+1
It was created for console players and we suffer from it.

Agree on PC UI issues. Thin scroll bar handles are not mouse friendly, and long single lists are cumbersome. (I advocate to GZ devs to look again at a grid-based inventory system, which the devs moved away from a few years ago, because a single list was better in some ways.)

It is more reliable to click / select an Inventory item, then use W-S keys to move up and down in the list.

I've recycled a lot of wrong things since update, but, I'm also getting replacements, and have dupes on other characters in my world.

Tips:
• When selecting an item, click in the lower part of the rectangle. Clicking above the halfway point may sometimes select the item above.
• Make sure the quantity fly-out to the right of selected item, is appearing on the same LINE as the item you wish to select. Sometimes it's above, a clue you will not be recycling the desired item, click again.
• If you'd be devastated by accidentally recycling the wrong weapon (or item), drop all other weapons on the ground first. That's non-destructive, if the wrong thing gets dropped. Pick up the temporary backpack of item(s) after recycling.

I have no problems navigating the inventory using WASD, it when you need to adjust the quantity of items to either bring/stash or recycle that has become an issue with the new system. Before, you could adjust the 10s with W/S and 1s with A/D. Now you can ONLY use A/D to adjust quantity, and it bounces from doing 1s to 10s is a sudden and unprecise manner.
So to be more clear, my issue ISNT with navigating around the inventory with WASD, but the now poor and unprecise manner of adjusting quantity.

I do not dispute your findings — I'm adding more problems, and some work-arounds for those, to the list :)

Speaking as somebody who just migrated over to the PC version from the console ... this sucks there too.

I really dislike when games with a wide variety of items try to switch to this kind of interface. It doesn't streamline anything for me, just makes everything take longer and means more double-checking. :steamsad:

I hate things like:

weapons that don't indicate what ammo they use. Having to guess is a real pain.

The sorting feature sometimes moving things if you add o subtract an item. And I don't mean like one space; it completely repositions the entire list.

The sheer masses of junk you find that you then have to compensate for by having a companion you can dump it all into, spending skill points so you have more space, not travelling too far from a storage box, or worst of all in a game **based on looting**... not loot things and pass over what is basically a huge part of the game, which is searching for hidden items, better gear and collecting resources. I've been forced more times than I care to name to just leave areas untouched because I was at my limit.

Ive had a bug where when i scroll the inventory, the icons sometimes dont update quick enough - so ill quickly scrap items by looking at the purple and end up accidently scrapping yellows. Also it seems to lag a bit - keep putting my entire inventory into storage.

I hate they removed "compatible weapons" as a filter option for the attachments section.
HOW is that removal helpful?

Dunno about anyone else, but the storage management is really not mouse friendly at all. Reminds me of installing mods on Skyrim/Fallout to make the inventory easier to work with on PC

Not a fan of the new changes to inventory management.

I can't stand the new inventory changes, I just hope they revert back.
