Some questions regarding dlc weapons, and the newest dlc
-How do you get the dlc weapons? do they drop like any other weapon randomly from enemies or? (asking because i dont know which enemies would drop the weapons from the newest dlc)
-Does aiming with the minigun still count as hipfire or does it count as aiming down sights?
-What happens if i drop the dlc weapon on the ground for a friend?
-Will the dlc still work for me if i am not the host of the game?
and lastly
-Which shotgun is considered the best? does the new dlc shotgun win over the other shotguns?

And two side questions i have regarding dlcs that add new parts of the map
-What happens if you have a dlc for a new part of the map, but you dont host?
-And what happens if i have the dlcs, i host the game but the friend doesnt have the dlcs?
If anyone can answer these, id greatly appreciate it

Main:
1) Yes, they share same drop mechanics as for rest non-experimental weapons in the game. The difference is specific machines you have a chance to get a drop from.
2) Idk, you can test is with hipfire recoil augment and without.
3) Friend won't be able to use it or even pick up.
4) Yes, it works for clients.
5) I don't know for sure, but from observations, different conversations read - it looks like answer is "yes". The shotgun makes vanilla ones obsolete.

Side:
1) I can't recall the case I wasn't able to fast travel at DLC island. But I never know if exact host owns the DLC either.
2) Idk. My assumption is clients are capable of following host there.

1)idk
2)You can access to your dlcs areas, but someone who don't have the dlc can't follow you. For exemple, can't access himfall. That said, for the other DLC for the resistance story part, as it's on main island, he still can follow you, the quest won't be shown for him (not sure), but you'll be able to play.

Machinegun in [Heavy weapon] DLC is Gatling gun.
My opinions after using it's purple rarity (4c):
- Terrible spread & recoil
- Terrible distance attenuation
- Terrible ammo efficiency (damage per bullet felt like 5.56 ammo)
- Great reload speed for it's 350 rounds magazine
- Insane fire rate.
Better treat it like shotgun instead of machinegun.

yeah but im asking which type? theres swedish and russian machines and i think both have their own pools
or is that not the case? (like you wont find the AK in a swedish tank robot from my experience so far)

Note: Some weapon DLC worth it alot. Not just because of getting a good weapon, but some drop like there is no tomorrow. You can get alot materials, most importantly weapon parts.
Good example is Soviet Pack where AT-WAD drop from like every 3rd Hunter and USA pack for N9 with same reason.

Summer Sale on the horizon. These old weapon DLCs will cost less than 1 Euro each.

You can check possible drops from this site:
https://generation-zero.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons
Note: New DLC weapons not updated there only just placeholder.

Absolutely recommend to buy Alpine Unrest and FNIX Rising on next Summer Sale.
However Alpine Unrest only recommend to go when you are good equipped as there is the highest level Robots (Apocalypse) you will encounter.
FNIX Rising is recommend with base game, so you will get many extra quests and collectibles while you explore.
