Awesome. Thanks for the reply.
2) Gen Zero is fully released game, not early access.
3) SR_Carni is Community Manager of this game working along with the dev and actively streaming(youtube, twitch & Steam stream) every 2 weeks talking about the game & news, also the owner of Gen Zero tag along with his stream.
Even worst games with no players for years still have functional P2P multiplayer, there are youtubers making content about those.
I don't know where you get the lingering idea that genz is closing.
@Velmoria. As for playing solo without a server, internet nor Steam yes pirates have been doing that as well for decades for many games.
Attention carni;
If, let me repeat, If Genz is no longer being updated, pulled off from Steam store (or any store) and any semblance of server support removed, can owners of Generations Zero:
1. Still play the game solo? Multiplayer? Online? Offline? For a while or for many years after?
2. What are needed for owners of Generation Zero to be discoverable by other players while playing online?
3. What are needed for friends to invite one another to join his\her world?
I think this should be enough.
Just disconnect your computer from the internet and you can still play Gen Zero.
I would guess that you would treat Gen Zero like a game you bought from another web site that was not Steam. Then through steam, continue to play co-op if Systemic Reaction no longer supported Gen Zero.
The problem I have had with older games, bought from sites other than steam that the sites were sold to another company, Steam bought one of those companies. Had to register the games via the new company to continue to play them. Example would be the old COD games. It was a pain to log into the games every time I wanted to play them so ended up buying them off steam.
My old EA games bought before EA went behind a monthly pay wall to play them, you still had to log into their website to even play solo. But the games started out that way.
