Harvesters
Does anyone know if there is some sort of area on the harvester you can destroy so that it disables its ability to can in hunters?

Tanks you can destroy their weapons so that they become useless. I'm wondering if harvesters have a spot you can destroy so they can't call in reinforcements.

Tanks aren't useless if their guns are destroyed... did you ever experience them charging at you? As for the Harvesters I'm pretty sure its a built in beacon that can't be seen anywhere on its body so your not gonna be able to stop it calling in reinforcements but you can also make use of its vulnerability to take out the fuel cells on its back!

Well, since the Hunters drop down like meteors I don't see how you can hit any part of the Harvester that will matter. I think it was a very silly development, not at all in keeping with the beautiful animations so far. If the Hunters emerged from the backpack like ticks, unfolding as they come out, with no more than two per Harvester, that would make sense. But this endless spawning ... woof. I do like the way the Hunters stand around looking clueless, like newborns, until they get their bearings. So, what to do. I just try to kill the Harvester as fast as I can. To me the most vulnerable spot is from the side, where the front and back legs come together. I don't remember if the new class Harvesters 'curl up' in a defensive position but any Harvester that does still exposes that spot. Even after it's open, facing me, I still concentrate on those spots, as well as the rocket tubes. I use an Experimental 50 cal. The funny thing is, even after a Harvester is dead, Hunters may appear just out of spite for having killed mother.

Dude have you seen the size of their pods? Pretty sure those things are being shot from somewhere probably where the damn things originated from.

Leave one hunter without guns. No more will be called.

Pretty sure Harvesters call in a range from 2-3 Hunters after Prototype tier and the game might be coded for them to know when to call in more guns because there's been times where there would still be one Hunter and a Harvester would still call in backup even though the Hunter remaining would be from the same Harvester.

So far it works for me and the person I picked it up from. That said the game is fickle.

For me, shooting off the leg armor (long, flat pieces, short pieces on the 'knees,' and the row of applique pieces on the sides) makes them vulnerable elsewhere. If you have an IR module, those (and the launcher tubes) show up as darker than the Harvester's body.

Weak parts of the harvesters are the big tank on the back and the stuff above it. Doesn't take to many shots in the back side for him to go down. Also if it curls up in a fetal position and cues then it is calling in hunter drops. No reason to shot at it then but try to run behind it so when it starts moving again you can give it a few rounds in the can. Then go after the hunters.

YES there is a reason to be shooting it in that position! What you think ignoring those rocket pods is a good idea?

Never seen damage done while hitting them in the fetal position, I will watch via the tactic view with the binoculars to monitor any changes while the other players are hitting it. I will send in my report. LOL

I know I have killed them while in the fetal position, so you must be able to hurt them like that.

It is always from the back though.

I always just circle it, so its just focusing on constantly turning around so it never calls in hunters

That's not gonna help anything! You could be running in circles for who knows how long the moment all the active Hunters are dead it will call in more!

Everytime I fight a harvester majority of the time they are not with hunters, even when they do have hunters i kill them first and just distract the harvester into facing me so I just constantly circle it just killing its components
