Here you say there are 30k robots ? x'D
Your computer should be lunar to not crash. Or maybe we could congragulate devs for making a game stable enough to support 30k robots without crashing.
"Joke" aside, base defense are made in 3 to 5 waves to complete one full wave if I remember well. You then have 4 waves to defeat. You can defend you base with a lot of structure and turrets too(not sure about turrets, I rarely do base defense unless the host in MP wanna do that, so maybe it's in a DLC).
I think base defenses are thought for MP first. So, if you struggle doing them, you can either open your game in MP, or lower the difficulty.
Comming here to ask for cheat, exagerate difficulty because you're just either salty or bad(both are possible too)won't help you in any way...
The game is about fighting robots with high tech, created to kill, and we're just humans. So you have first to loot a lot of ammos, going stealth, then, when you have enough ressources, you can use your human brain to outplay the AI.
When you get exp. weapons, you usually have a lot of ammo and the game begins to feel a bit different. Anyway, if you just want the easy way, you can find mods. If you know how to write ♥♥♥♥ here, I'm sure you're able to do a search on google ;)
Sure there are mods out there that can make the game harder or easier to suit what you want. Just google it because combat changing mods are not allowed nor tolerated to be posted on the forum.
There are, however, visual and sound mods tolerated and posted here:

Kid, before you start insulting me you should probably work on your reading comprehension a little first. Are there "spawners" in base defense missions?
Not looking to change the combat, the design might be poor in some places but overall it is fine. I just want to not have to click on boxes for hours.
maybe stop posting these foolish beginner posts how different endgame aspects of the game are to tough for you
simply kill some of the big boys to restock ammo easily.
harvester, tank, firebird or wolf are all great to restock ammo quickly.
don't try to attack these bases with your rusty 2star gun, you need around 30-50 rockets for a lvl3 fnix base or use some flares to keep the robots distracted while you only focus on the generators
you find your pvg sniper rifle on rooftops in bigger town or on the top of lighthouses
you could also ask other players in multiplayer for 5 and 6 star equipment which makes the game much easier. sounds like you don't want to grind for the stuff on your own.
you will find your cheats easily with google while it is against forum rules to go into details
I was able to adopt a "fire 3 and move" approach, constantly shifting my position and pummeling the base, taking down walls (usually takes 2-3 hits with the artillery shot for a wall segment). Once walls are down, you can see where the assembler/respawner units are and blast them. Take a few moments to clear out enemies that are stalking you from the base (hacking is nice for this, as is the companion, keeps them occupied). Step and repeat. I typically end up with the base essentially leveled after a while, few if any walls left, no enemies respawning, and then it's a cake walk to saunter in, blow up each of the shield generators, and then go to work on the control pod itself.
Extra bonus - if you slot .270 shock rounds, the damage of the artillery blast seems to stay the same, but you also get a nice AoE shock effect, does wonders on any machinery in the surrounding area. And leaves a shock node, so shots nearby give you the great chain shocking tripwires to do added damage to enemies being spawned...
