I have unlocked standard armor up to purple for dog but the next trees are locked for me even though I have the materials and points for some more unlocks. Why?

The Machine Companion can be equipped with one of three additional behavior modules that provide extra functionality in and out of combat:
• Medic Module - Gives the Companion the ability to use medical supplies from its inventory to heal you when you’re wounded
• Scavenger Module - Equips the Companion with the ability to collect items from defeated foes and store them in its inventory
• Spotter Module - Allows the Companion to mark enemy machines, increasing the damage they take in combat

Also, you can research various advanced armor options to craft for your Machine Companion:
• Ballistic Plates - Offers enhanced protection from bullet damage
• Concussive Plates - Provides superior defense against explosions
• Fire Retardant Insulation - Gives improved shielding from fire damage

Finally, you get access to 11 new cosmetic enhancements to give your Companion a personal touch:
• Five distinctive Paint Jobs - “Black Fire”, “Blue Thunder”, “Bubblegum”, “Grand Prix”, and “Mecha Monster”
• Three Light Kits - “Toxic Glow”, “Hazed”, and “Neon”
• Three Voice Boxes - “Digi-dog”, “Speak & Learn”, and “Astrid”

Unfortunately, I don't get any points. I made various items. but didn't get any points for it. so i can no longer make any more improvements to the companion. i don't know if you can also find blueprints for the companion in rivals? I also have no desire to search the whole island for plans. or to hope that there are plans in the machines and that they will be dropped purely by chance. for me the companion has become useless. it consumes too much time and material. it's too loud and that's why it's always annoying. and to the actions like attacking you have to say that he is too reserved for me. I would wish for more aggressiveness here. especially that the companion starts shooting when he sees an enemy. and not only when I shoot at an enemy.

Wait so you can do first tree for companion then the rest is locked unless dlc is bought? Kinda bogus but ok. Its cheap enough but still.

standard practice for them, unfortunately. the bikes, motorcycles and base building are the same. base game has the barebones, with the dlc adding upgrades
