Cannot destroy FNIX bases

I've destroyed every wall and destroyed everything. inside the base I've got the mission progress indicator confirming I've taken out every generator. Now it tells me to find a way into the base, but I'm looking RIGHT at the shielded control point so I'm clearly inside the base. The shield never drops. This is the fourth time in a row I've done this.

P.S. Yes, this is a real base, not an outpost. I used to be able to destroy them, but now I cannot.

I'm in the game right now, standing in front of a control point at the center of the smoking ruin of yet another base. No enemies left to spawn, no turrets, no generators... everything is destroyed. Once again, the shield wont come down.

This time it actually says DESTROY the command center, but the shield still wont drop.

WELL ... It Sounds like you NEED to report it as a Bug.
I haven't played since update, so other than that ... you found another Bug.

Easiest way on Steam would be to go to the main page for General Discussions here for Gen Zero (not inside one particular thread). Then Look at Right Column for Bug Reports Sub-Forum. Choose it, either add to a thread that has same problem or create a new discussion in that sub-forum to report the Bug. These options should be available again to the Right in a column. Feel free to experiment a bit, everything is either reversible or can be deleted after. So not a big deal and well worth knowing how to do.

Gen Zero also has their own web site, you'd have to join up, it's not intuitive, I would not recommend it. If they want to know, they will find it here, and seem to read the Bug Posts, Carni even mentions they do.
