Also after activating the spiacialization, instigate the fight in case you temporary ally do not attack.
But if you don't have the luck with stat, sometimes, you will feel like 80% is 1% chance....
So thanks for the helpful primer to those replying in this post. And good question, Fekin, I can now just refer to this thread before I go out hacking, which I have not done on any character yet.
Level 1 is confuse, Level 2 allows a chance at actual conversion to Friendly, and blue halo for success. Makes sense now.
Oh, and can you hack from a scope or does it have to be with Binoculars in hand when you do it??
Ahh, I need to figure out how to actually activate the specialisation.
You can only have one of the Lines active, and you have to have gone all the way down the line so it is complete.
I have not got there yet on any character, I keep restarting campaigns. If I do get there, and find out, I'll let you know.
Sure someone else will say exactly how.
The Hacking Skill earlier above it somewhere has 2 levels to it. Level One will only confuse or disable them. You can also get Level 2, and that will allow your active Hack at the Bottom to actually Convert them to Friendly for that time period.
So, yes, looks like you have to do that. :)
Placing 1 point on each up to the bottom will suffice. See image\guide.

The %'s don't really seem to mean much since I've been able to hack rivals who are in the 10% range. No downside to trying since there's no limit to the number of failed attempts other than your own patience.
