Yeah, that's what I thought it was. What about the issues with audio crackling/popping, and cutting in and out? Have you experienced that at all? It seems like it mostly happens when there's a lot going on in the area. Such as groups of robots fighting with one another.
Have you tried updating your sounddrivers? You can also try changing your windows samplerate, I'm pretty much fine using 48khz samplerate here.
On a different audio issue I get occasionally in the game:
I sometimes get sounds from destroyed enemies, like the Doggos or Hunters. I usually don't but sometimes I do. Occasionally I also will hear the enemies when I am above a bunker where they have spawned or in a bunker below where they are on the surface.
The part in the last paragraph is not such a big deal, even though concrete or several feet of earth shouild dampen such sounds, I gather it is probably a distance fade only. Actually can be fun and works to your advantage, even if it could be arguably irritating or disappointing.
But, it points to another possibility as to the sounds of the killed enemies. That perhaps they have simply fallen into the map under the surface when spawning. Not saying it is that, but it adds to the worry.
I like to pretend that it is simply that the main brain or the comm unit on the enemy is still active, and so it is either moaning or a malfunctioning brain or communications system, trying to contact others, or receiving such communication. So, in some ways, it can add to the fun.
But overall, it could be simply a bug. Doesn't happen most of the time, but maybe one in 5 times I load a game it may happen.
I have also had the random shuffling movement sound as if there is something behind me, but when I turn, there is nothing and the sound stops, only to start again when I turn back around...
Yes. I have the same problem in the same place, but it only happened for me after the latest patch.
Im having this exact issue in the same place, after running into warring robots for the first time. Hopefully theres a fix for this soon.
