Just saw a very GZ-like film
"The Living Dog" 2019 indie film. Low budget but far better than I expected and totally felt like GZ. Two people trying to survive in the beautiful wilderness of Finland after giant robots (and smaller flying drones) have wiped out most people including the military forces. So many scenes look like they came straight out of the game or maybe vice versa. The robots aren't nearly as awesome at GZ's robot design but they are otherwise similar. The equivalent of the Tank even blasts a horrifying horn when it attacks.

Edit: Fixed movie title typo

Thank You, I'll watch out for it.
There's another GZ-like (swedish) film from 2018, with bigger budget: "The Unthinkable" or , in swedish original, "Den blomstertid nu kommer".
To avoid wrong expectations, it needs to be mentioned - and i don't regard this as spoiler, because you wouldn't it expect anyway - there are no robots!
But still, there are a lot of material assets as seen in the game. You'll see the inside of the original GZ-bunker with it's orange colored walls, and the very iconic staircase (only shown once for few seconds).
The basic mood in the movie resembles to that in the game "Something odd is happening here". But you have to accept that a lot of the movie is taken up by human relationships and personal drama.

It's "A Living Dog". I apologize for the typo.

Thanks for that recommendation I'll check it out. The film "The Wave" really shows how accurately GZ is rendered as it takes place on a fjord in Norway. When they go to a bunker it has the same shelves and doors there too.
Im gonna watch that movies. A living dog looks like GenerationZero with next-next gen graphics hrhrh. Nice

I just saw "A Living Dog": 94 minutes wasted! No explaination for nothing. The story can be told in one sentence.
If you want (much) more action then watch "The Unthinkable" which i mentioned in #3. As soon as the action kicks in, there's a long lasting dark atmosphere until everything is clarified. This "darkness" is perceived even stronger with the accompanying dark synthesizer chords from the soundtrack.
And yes, somebody in Sweden saw the future before making the film in 2018; Look what the Russians are doing at the moment - "unthinkable" back in 2018...
