where to find flashlight

There was one in the first house in the intro quest. There are other ones scattered throughout the game, you can see them because they're turned on and casting light at things. Little red rectangle on a table/box/shelf/etc, shining light.

(you can pick up lots of them, but they just get discarded after the first one.)

According to the wiki article for the Break Of Dawn mission, the flashlight was next to the stairs.

It's in the first house you get to when starting the game I think in the entry hall with the stairs. There's a couple more on the way to the barn in various spots. they don't look like your cylindrical shaped flashlight, but more like a camera.
