However, I don't quite foresee this being implemented, especially because the Binocular Tech View already exists...which allows you to view the health of machines and (with blueprints) their respective components. If you want this to be disabled, just...don't choose "Tech View."
In short, yes and no.
Knowing where the weak points are, then knowing that you have destroyed those weak points and knowing the visual signs the machine's health is on the decline is better than any health bar or tech view.
Binoculars give you a better magnified view of what is around you and with tech view, the machine blueprints, you can tell a lot of details of every machine. Even without being in contact with the machines.
How would a health bar work? Each and every machine has a health bar above them and in large swarms you can't tell which machine is at which health? Just look at the name tags above each player in co-op and then the name tags of the rivals you are also fighting. Then add health bars on all the runners, hunters and larger machines in the same view...would there be any room to spot your target? Should the ticks even get a health bar? Seekers? Maybe the things in the gamer that can be damaged like cars and large fuel tanks should get health bar, since they take more than one shot to destroy.
Would really like to keep things simple and not cluttered view of the battle field.
But I agree with the above, it wouldn’t really be that useful. It would look pretty dumb ngl.
