I just start started (had to test again after what you wrote) a new world with a new character = I should have a clean start.
But when I get to the first church I have a full plundra with all my weapons and stuff.
am not trolling, just tried it and same thing happened to me as to torgny.. first church.. full plunder. i want a NEW CLEAN NO PREVIOUS LOOT game.
I haven't tested this new feature yet as I'm content with the old way of simply moving the savefolder to a backup savefolder. Its never failed me across 20 different saves and it's easy enough to drag a folder(on PC).. ;)
if you want to have DLC loot scatters so that its earnable rather than just put inside the storage go and give them some feedback in the proper place.
This like Terraria world you start a new char not start a new world. It completely shared world with chest system. They want completely fresh game without losing there old one.
Yes I know that you can make multi worlds in Terraria. Problem is you cann't here.
Alot times I don't want my chars to share loot in anyway in some games.
I use a thumb drive to store my different saves.
The devs are more interested with making new content.
Each big "update" always comes with new dlc.
With a little luck, they sometimes make little improvements.
But that's only a side effect !!
I would be happy when all these "updates" are finished.
And it's released from EARLY ACCESS.
Hopefully it still can be fun, with whatever there's left from the game.
When they are done with it.
Plus my plundar is at 197.98 in weight. To be clear the DLC weapons are there, however so is a lot of 1 crown loot I was scrapping in the other playthrough.

The system seems to be more of a 'shared universe storage' than an individual world storage with 'new game+' features. To be fair I'm ok with that, but for those that want a clean start on world XX they can't do it as far as I see.
I also took the DLC Mac 10 out of world 4,character 1's plundra to see if DLC content was effected as well. World 1, character 1 had no Mac 10 when loaded back up. Which again is fine as I don't play with DLC weaps from the start. I'm thinking they have all the 'worlds' and characters in the same file without individualized plundars. That's all guesswork though as I've not looked into it.
I wonder if the characters slot could be causing an issue. Instead of world 1, character 1 & world 4, character 1 I think I'll try world 1, character 1 & world 4, character 4 and see if the plundars are 'disconnected' then.
