New Areas

When are they going to open up a new island to play on. They still have a couple of choices to choose from. Most of the die-hard fans have left to play other games. Unless they bring new areas to play in they will in all actually end up loosing a lot of their player base. So what does everyone else think. Is it hurting them to not open up new islands to play on???

I think the same! A DLC like Himfjäll is overdue! The northern island to himfjäll is 4-times larger and it's the only island where streets are plotted on the map in the current state. There are 2 more islands with similar size like Himfjäll, but on the map no streets are visible yet.
The FNIX-DLC i didn't even buy: The assets everybody can find in the southern region doesn't fit into the game - i don't like them.
So, the should make a new DLC with a new area and some missions to do. I'm not interested in those upcoming base-building features - it's too mediocre!
I don't think they are going to release a new Island-DLC until April'22. In this case they can take their time, because STALKER 2 should be released at that time, and this means no time for Generation Zero for several months...

It has been the wishes of so many, but I guess it is too much for them to do another version of the Alpine Unrest DLC. It is lot easier to earn coins by copying and editing weapons, a bit of remodeling and re-texturing here and there and finally present it as a paid DLC.

Or they are still ironing out whatever serious bugs and glitches that remain in the Xbox version, making it doubly unthinkable for them to work on and introduce a good DLC with missions and new contents.

Anyway, let us hope for a New Year miracle, since no miracle happened for the game this Christmas.

We need more maps opened with quest..repeated the same maps so many times I know the streets ..lol
seriously miss the game we got bored with the camp thing...and repears are easy to kill.

Reapers are easy to kill because their AI is as weak as the ones from the other machines. I even got bored with their rewards. Last time i got my 2nd Experimental-Hammer - i recycled it, because my Plundra is full. So, without a New Area-DLC there won't be anything new for me any longer!
New games will come and as soon as STALKER 2 is released and GZ still has nothing new to offer, i will uninstall it.

New island map should open, with new missions ..
Maybe even another Home Base ..

Looks like main Island was in fact evacuated ..
should be more survivors on the islands ..

I would really love a DLC that opens up another big island and i'd hope it to be in line with the narrative of the game. Should there be abother DLC, I'd bet it would have something to do with Elsa, a pilot and a leader of the resistant, who Veronica clearly she stated, at the end of Fnix DLC mission. she wanted to stay alive.

Go on Youtube and search for Generation Zero Solo : BOOM #. There you'll see 6 videos of somebody who tried to get to the other islands by flying over with explosives.
To make it short: The 3 remaining bigger islands are "protected" by the game: It says "You don't own this content. Repositioning". So it seems it's basically planned to use this islands for new DLC's, but nobody knows if the developers have started working on it.
If you manage to fly to the small islands, you'll be disappointed: Just a natural untouched area, nothing to find, no secrets!

I ran around on Himfjäll before it was released using explosives to fly over ;) you could already find safehouses there at that time. This could be why my savefile could not start the DLC when it dropped and i need to join coop for DLC missions to pop for me.. Just after the release of Himfjäll Devs fenced off the other parts of the world.

@Znurrad: This must have been in 2019, when you say you were on Himfjäll before its release. At that time the repositioning mechanism wasn't there obviously. I saw a video on YT where somebody explored the bigger island in the west - he also could do this only because of the missing RePos-mechanism.
On that island itself - emptyness! Streets were there but nothing else...
In the game there are also many locked doors where everybody is asking "what's behind it?". Well there are videos of some guy who uses the bicycle to glitch through these doors; Again: emptyness, unfinished rooms, or sometimes just a wall behind the door.
