LOL it's really because of the glasses! Been wearing glasses all this while, but they didnt have this effect until i changed to another pari i just found
Hang on. You're right, I guess. I was goofing off in MP as I usually only play SP so I kept changing my outfit while the other dude was learning how inventory works in the game (still not very intuitive for new players I'm afraid) just to see if he'd notice. Anyway, I threw on a pair of those silly-looking glasses that sit up on your forehead--it never occurred to me they'd impact vision as visually they sit above the eyes. Learn something new every day, apparently.
EDIT: Logged into the game last night and the goggles I was wearing are considered head gear, not eye-wear, so I don't see how they could have been responsible for the visual changes OP and I both noticed.
