Can I save you some time though? Don't bother with them, they are completely worthless.

Tips and Ticks (done before landfall patch)
I have been trying to get ahold of some Tickpods these last few days and wow, they are a rare find.
Some Mili-Hunters have tick pods but all Fnix and Apoc-Hunters always carry tickpods. I chose to only destory Apoc-Hunters for this test.
So the tricky thing is not damaging the tickpod while incombat. I'm currently shooting the weapon(s) and then just hitting the legframes of Hunters until destroyed.
You can't use the xKVM59 because of its aoe-damage breaking the tickpods early.
If you use xPVG90 you have to be very careful not to penetrate the body and hit the tickpod which is why I have resorted to the weapon(s) and legs-method of taking them down.
I swear I'm getting more 5star N9 handguns and magazines than tickpods, this while carefully shooting armweapon-shoulderweapon and then hitting the legframes until dead.
Lets go on a farm run and count this out =)
99 Apoc Hunters killed (2 or 3 damaged tickpods due to crappy aim)
5 N9 t5 Handguns
6 N9 t5 Magazines
1 blue and 1 purple weapon
1 blue and 1 purp magazine
10 Tickpods
I haven't tested if I can kill bots and then switch to engineer for looting yet...
Being able to switch to Engineer after combat ends to loot pods would make the perk alot more useful but you'd still need to be careful to not damage the pods while incombat, making it a farming-nightmare for most group-play. Let's try it out:
After killing 12 or 16 Apoc-Hunters I finally got 1 tickpod while fighting with "vanguard" active and then switching over to "engineer" when looting. So it does work, NICE!
So with how hard they are to come by, do they even have any value when used or it is only for the memes..?
Kind of odd to have an end of skilltree perk that is this 1: hard to farm and use consistently and 2: low onehit dmg.
Considering the type of tick that we players can deploy is of the exploding variant, it should do considerable damage to whatever is its target right? (especially with the +% dmg and area of effect Perks)
Does a deployed tick explode a protorunner on the Skirmish difficulty? (Yes it does, atleast with my skillperks.)
Skirmish:
Seeker: Proto 1tick, Mili ?, Fnix ?
Runner: Proto 1tick, Mili ?, Fnix 2ticks, Apoc ?
Hunter: Proto more then 1 (only had 2 left here and one went for the seeker lol) Mili more than 10, i stopped counting lol!
*Harvester: Proto ?, Mili ?, Fnix ?, Apoc ? not gonna test this ;D
*Tank: Proto ?, Mili ?, Fnix ?, Apoc ?, Reaper ? not gonna test this ;D
Will Tick-play ever get any love from devs? Perhaps throwing them would be sufficient to get some more utility and also synergize with the +throwingperks
