Really quiet reloading sound?
I had not played Gen 0 in a while but came back for the new patch and the weapons update today. First thing I noticed is all the reloading noises are extremely quiet. Even when I turn up the volume a lot to the point of gun shots being unpleasantly loud, the magazine changes of most if not all guns are still really quiet. Anyone else have the same issue? I don't remember this sound issue being that way 6 or so months ago when I last played the game.

Update: It also seems when firing the N60 for example while standing close to a tank the tanks machine gun noise is completely drowned and cannot be heard at all..

I've noticed this too, except I can't hear reloading at all--and I have my SFX set to 100.

For me it actually started yesterday, when I played MP for the first time. Now it's carried over into the update in SP mode. Restarting the game doesn't help.

I put in nearly 90 hours before this issue occurred.

Quiet reload is something in the update. I had no problems until then. Guess we'll have to wait on a patch.

Maybe they pushed something to my installation before I played MP last night, but I know the issue began for me before the ~15-GB update I installed this morning.

Just now, playing solo, the game started with no reload sound (that I could hear), then it went back to normal, during the same game.

restart your game

I've tried restarting the game, I've installed new drivers and even tried it on a different PC with a different sound card. The result has been the same. Reloading is super quiet. There are other sound bugs now, too. When standing next to a tank which shoots its' gun at you while you're firing your own M249 SAW you cannot hear the tanks' gun at all while you're firing. As soon as you stop, the tank gun makes noise again.
Looting also causes sounds to sometimes not play at all or be really quiet.

Definitely something wrong with either the update or the patch before the update.

I specifically stated that restarting the game didn't help, and also that the issue can occur and then stop occurring during the same gameplay session.

I have better things to do than to track GZ patch cycles, but if they released one just before the big update, that explains the timing.

yeah, the reload sound seems to be gone for me too, also the footsteps, or at least my footsteps, are suddenly super, super quiet. gun firing sounds are normal, maybe even a little louder? or it might just feel like that because the other SFX are so weird.

heavy breathing while sprinting is also silent, i tried turning heartbeat sounds on and i'm not hearing that either

This issue hasn't happened for me since May 4. No clue why, since I've changed nothing.

I get this glitch with no weapon reload sound from time to time but restarting the game or logging in and out seems to fix it.

I can remember this glitch from the first time i started playing it's like the fall through the world glitch very rare but it happens....
