Why does this game ramp the fans up more than anything?
Okay so I have 120 hours on this game. I bought it on release and I play every now and then with my friend and we like it. But for some reason this game makes my PC louder than any other game I play. Even Cyberpunk 2077 with RTX on is more quiet for some reason. Im not overheating. Sitting at a 70 degrees temp in both games with fans speed between 50 - 60% From what I can see. I mean it does not really bother me since I play with headphones but still. Also when I boot the game the fans ramp up super speed and then chill down again.

I have never seen a game do this. Anyone know why this happens?

It doesn't happen for me, but maybe one game is more cpu-heavy than gpu-heavy and the other is the opposite? If you can determine that, then maybe that particular component needs to be cleaned or something.

The game is all about the bots taking over.. Your computer fans are just the beginning!! :steamhappy::steammocking:

The game is really demanding of the GPU, so I am guessing your GPU fan is the one that is getting a good work out. I would be concerned as to why the fan is so noisy you can hear it over the headphones?

Good luck on finding the cause.

I am not really hearing it clearly through my headphones. Just noticed it today when I not had them on when I started the game. And my GPU is what is maxed out most of the time in both games but this one for some reason seems to be louder even though my GPU fans is seeminly running at the same speed in both games and reaching the same temp. But meh idk. As I said does not bother me much.

Both games are GPU heavy since I play with RTX on in Cyberpunk and my components are not that old. Changed chassi just 9 months ago and dusted everything of slightly. GPU is ish 2 years and CPU is maybe 1 year and 9 months.

This game taxes my GPU more than Cyberpunk, mainly because CP is a CPU heavy game with poor coding lmao

Here's something you can start monitoring if you're into that kind of thing.

100% load is not always equal across games. I use HWiNFO64 to monitor utilization and wattage, myself. Some games where I'm getting "100%" GPU utilization push my RX480 8GB to 115w. A handful of other games can also get "100%" GPU utilization but push it to 135 watts. It can even depend where I am in each game, of course.

In my opinion, the higher the watts drawn, the better that game is utilizing my GPU. I've even got certain games that in certain parts can make it pull 180 watts when overclocked and the voltages maxed out. Vermintide 2 and American Truck Simulator are two I can remember off the top of my head that can make it pull that much.

it has a weird forced-scale. if you run borderless at lowest res, it will run your highest native resolution. fullscreen seems to work better than borderless.

ya its not coded minimally. its either sloppy code or dragged dropped cut paste. i have to run everything on low/off (on a $3k alienware)
