Looking for an experimental KVM 59

I've been getting plenty of conflicting info regarding the weapon, apparently it only seemed to have been available through timed events instead of being a regular drop from rivals? I've definitely tried, but never got lucky.

I've made a character build specifically for this weapon only to find out about it now, so I was hoping someone would maybe have a spare or something :b

Supposedly the best place to get it to drop is from rivals in the Alpine unrest DLC.
Take lots of med kits those bots do a lot of DOT (damage over time) attacks.
I can't get that or the experimental shotgun to drop (But get multiple drops of all the other experimentals)

I have all experimentals.
Including the KVM 59
I also have a KVM 89,, but that's NOT a experimental.

I have gotten the experimental KVM 59 often.
Nothing special done.
You just need to be high level and kill a high level tank or harvester.
But even then it appears random
(I don't have the Alpine unrest DLC)

Personally I'm looking for the triple scope attachment
Very rare to find.
I only need to borrow it.
I make a save file copy and I'll give it back!

Hit the rivals on APOC Island. That will be the most likely place for them to drop but as with a lot of the exp weapons it is random. But don't just take out the rivals as soon as they spawn. Try to get as many rivals to level 4 as possible and wiping out any runners or hunters that turn into a rival so you only have tanks and harvester rivals. Once you get all 8 of your rivals to level 4 save the game file and then kill all your rivals in one session, even if you have to play it co-op. Seems the longer your rivals are rivals, the better the weapon drops. If you don't get the weapon drops you want, reload your game save and play it again. Once you do get your weapons then you can go back and play the file over and over due to it will be a lot of fun just going after high level rivals!

Literally found the first one to drop in 2 months last night. Came from a rival tank in the marshlands, lvl 4 Fnix. At one point they dropped almost every other run, but they have become increasingly rare. I've lost track of how many I have given away. I get a shotgun drop about every third or fourth Reaper. Just kill it before it death blossoms. Loot spawns are better that way.
