Copper shortage
I have to say the one thing that really irritates me is the copper shortage. Really we can't get copper anywhere but from ammo we find? Everything I've looked up says that's the case, if not please tell me. IRL you can find copper everywhere. It's just stupid that means you have a finite amount of copper and you have to decide what your gonna make. Sweden has FU logic.

That is the dev's way of balancing or imbalancing the game difficulty.

2 pieces of copper can be found where you can do the base defense from. (It respawns every time you travel there) Plus there is a lot of things once broken down that gives copper, You are going to find out that copper is not as rare as you think. There is one really rare item. Can only be gotten by doing the base defense.

That is a lazy lazy uncreative way to balance your game. Seems like there was a lot of laziness in this game or indifference. So many times it feels like they went "well we could do this, that would be cool but Nah, I got other ♥♥♥♥ to do. It's like they got bored with their own game Although from now on I'm getting a swedish tech to optimize games for me. GZ runs smooth as silk at 70-80 fps. This game is really more disappointing than bad.
I have had a blast playing with my 9 yr old. Nothing like killin evil robots with your boy, ya know? No complicated missions or glitchy building or complicated crafting to get in the way just lots and lots of dead robots to make XD. Plus the clothes are hilarious.

I promised myself to refrain from bashing the devs, although they really need it once in a while. And yes, there is no argument about what you're saying.

So? Just dismantle ammo you don't need. Even on the highest difficulty I am stocked up with over 2k of most ammo types that I don't use, even after scrapping for copper.

I have tons of ammo too, just not AP. AP is the only ammo that gives copper. So you're really just trading in one caliber of AP ammo for another so you're not really crafting ammo you're just changing it's caliber. So you can only have as many AP rounds as you can find you can't make any out of scrap. That is stupid.
Now one poster said, and I quote "Plus there is a lot of things once broken down that gives copper" but he didn't give any examples of anything, so who knows if that's true. If it is then I am wrong and someone tell you some stuff that gives copper when you scrap it. I haven't found anything that gives copper other than ammo. And THAT is stupid. Why not just have all weapons have the same ammo, which as far as AP ammo is concerned, is technically the way it is.
So if I'm wrong and there's lots of copper around BESIDES in ammo, I will be happy to apologize.

Killing one proto-tank just gave me 600 9mm AP rounds.
Fireworks, medium/large Emps, adrenaline shots and tickpods is what I can find that recycles copper.

Here is what I got today by scraping Fireworks, paramedic response kits (several), emp, AP ammo (I do not use). 3 home defense missions. With farming and all about 3 hours.

This may help you understand on how to get copper.

I did not know fireworks and response kits gave copper thank you. Why you wouldn't use armor piercing rounds against robots I don't understand. It makes a big difference in my game. so 3 hours and 201 copper. Thats 100 times crafting AP rounds a they take 2 each. Does it make 1 bullet each or is it like 5 or 10 each time?

AP rounds are the worst for dealing damage, especially to components.

Depends on what you are crafting. Low as 15 to high like 125 rounds (If memory servers me right.) I hardly craft and use AP ammo. I use shock ammo. If I am fighting something. I am usually using 7.62 FMJ ammo and my machine gun. If you unlock one for getting 50% more ammo when you loot in the skill tree. That really increases the ammo you get. I have gotten so much ammo. I usually end up depawning it if I can not or do not want to break it down.

The reason I do not use AP is I use Shock ammo, If placed just right I can take out several robots with a couple of rounds. There is a chain lighting effect, can be used by placing 2 or more shots on the ground than last for a couple of min. Once they run in to it, depending on the robot. Usually takes them out and the effect last.

This might explain better.

Wow I've never even seen any shock ammo other than the EMP rocket rounds. We've played about 50 hours and have about 4 more missions to finish the main and I didn't even know they had shock ammo. Where do I get some of that? XD
Kaihlar Oct 7, 2021 @ 5:06pm
Specialty ammo is made from the blueprints you can win via home base defense

they require uranium to craft

also the exp Kvm has this effect on all ammo

Minor correction: the exp KVM's chain lightning is different than shock ammo tethers. Chain lightning radiates out from bullet impact point, tethers must be connected between at least 2 rounds. And tethers do significantly more damage and cause stagger.
