Thank you for your answer, but i tried this with no luck. I still have rivals, special weapons, Fnix campaign even if i start a new game...
Rivals and experimental guns are in the base game permanent, but for some reason are listed as DLC. Dont know why that is. So you'll just have to ignore them

Ok.. thank you, i didn't know that... as you said, ii will try to ignore them, but i am a weak man, always looking for the most powerful weapon... but these makes the game too easy in my opinion (except the Reaper of course)..
Thank you again..

What? ? ?
You can always deactivate DLC !
It can be done for every game that has DLC.

I can confirm what Jojo said... even if you disable the Rival and experimental DLC in Steam and start a new game, you still have rivals... and experimental weapons...

The DLC should be inactive.
When you install the basic game, NO dlc.
On a computer that never had this game installed before.

And it's still in the game !!!
This should NOT be....
If it is then this should be removed as dlc and just must be considered a update.

Another BASIC feature the developers screwed up !!!
It's nice the developers still work on this game,,,,,
But they should get the basics of this game working first.

1- new game mode - get a real fresh start without completed missions and collectibles kept .
2- multiplayer/matchmaking - give me a UI where I can select to which host I want to connect.
3- DLC or update - if you cannot remove it from the game it ain't DLC !!!!

While waiting for a proper New Game plus, those who want to start a new game can use this guide that offers 3 options to start a new game:

3 OPTIONS TO START A NEW GAME.
See this guide gz-info.on3communication.com/7
External Link

Option 1: Start a new game on a clear map while keeping your previous game's weapons, ammo and items.

Option 2: Start a new game while keeping your previous game's weapons, ammo and items: special spots you have visited in previous game will show up on the map.
Modifications are based on original post by M͕͕͗͗i͕͕͗͗y͕͕͗͗o. Thanks.

Option 3: Start a new game with zero items or loot, and a totally clear map.

These might also be useful for some.

Like someone else said, the Rivals and Experimental weapons are part of the base game but are listed as DLC for seemingly no reason. Nothing wrong with them; they spice it up a bit. As for the paid ones, I'd say you just ignore them and enjoy the bits you like. BTW, FNIX structures spawn regardless of owning FNIX Rising. FNIX Rising just adds missions relating to them

Thank you for your answer..
Are you sure for the FNIX campaign ? i have unchecked this one in Steam and i don't have any FNIX structures anymore on the map while i had them on my old game (i start a new game). As you said, i think you can only deactivate the DLC you paid for and the free ones are part of the game.

Games where you need to look up folders in order to do something to the save file.
So you could do something what should be in the game itself.
Those game's are broken and should be fixed.

A work around is nice ,,, BUT should not be the way how to get that result !!!

Well, i found an other side effect of the DLC deactivation (FNIX). Some collectables are disappearing, but are still marked as findable on the map. So i was looking for hours for an inexistant collectable. If i check the FNIX DLC in steam, the collectable is back....

I don't own the DLC, but I have the same problems.
